WHERE ARE THE SONS OF MADIBA?

WHERE ARE THE SONS OF MADIBA?
The death of Nelson Mandela at 95, though as expected and inevitable as it was, the whole world received the news with great shock and sense of loss. No doubt Madiba was a great global icon and an undisputed African hero. His lifestyle throughout the struggle and victory against apartheid was exceptional and to say the least a breath short of divinity.
Much has been said and written about Mandela and the immense virtues and quality of life he demonstrated globally, but so little has been imbibed by leaders of today. Beyond words and emotions what values and lessons are they taking from the life of this great man? While he was alive, how many leaders went to Madiba to pour water on his hands and learn at his feet? Mandela was a great resource from Heaven that men, because of their greed and pride, failed to access, men especially African leaders ought to throng to South Africa with their lesson notes in hand and seat at Madiba’s feet and learn all that the great man can teach. If each of African leaders had learnt and practised just one of Madiba’s virtues, this continent would be the envy and pride of the entire universe and mankind.
Before now African leaders wanted us to believe that the African tradition is a monarchical often tending towards autocratic forms of leadership, but a black leader named Mandela just proved them wrong, because more than anyone else Madiba deserved to rule for life, more than anything Madiba is right to avenge the injustice done to him by the white dominated oppressive system of South Africa, but he made the unpopular choice, he did what Jesus Christ would do.
African leaders no longer have an excuse for misrule and bad leadership. In life and in death they (both past and present leaders) stand culpable for plunging this continent into darkness and global disrepute. Mandela has shown them and indeed the whole world that selfless, sacrificial, compassionate, visionary leadership is not an elusive virtue or an impossible feat. Madiba has raised the bar and blazed a new trail and template for impeccable leadership all across the earth.

Paying tributes to Mandela by world leaders, and African rulers especially, amounts to nothing if they do not follow in the footstep of “the wise one”. Perhaps Madiba’s death is a signal that African leaders should call a solemn assembly and change their ways, leave a legacy that is worth celebrating and show the world that Africa is not black after all. A son must portray the attributes and quality of his father, let the sons of Madiba arise and deliver Africa. Let the sons of Africa rouse themselves and make the fathers proud!. That is the most excellent tribute we can pay MADIBA
Arise!  Sons of Madiba, fulfil destiny!
Arise Sun of Africa!!
FREEDOM!!!!
